About CCNY

Experience the vibrant campus of The City College of New York, a leader in education since 1847. Our summer language school offers students the chance to immerse themselves in a dynamic learning environment, right in the heart of New York City.

Students stay at The Towers, a welcoming apartment-style residence hall designed for summer language school students, and learn in smart classrooms with a student lounge, library and study areas, computer lab and cafeteria on campus. Founded in 1847 as the Free Academy of New York, CCNY was the first free public institution of higher education in the United States and is the founding college of the City University of New York. Its Harlem campus is known for its Collegiate Gothic buildings.

About New York

New York never sleeps: skyline and subway on the East Coast, with the whole city as your classroom. Students can catch a Broadway show, see the Statue of Liberty, walk Times Square and Central Park, and take in Manhattan by private bus. Add trips to Washington D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia and you have an English-language summer that is as much about the city as the classroom.
