Set on a spacious university campus in the San Fernando Valley, CSUN gives students a taste of American university life while being within easy reach of Los Angeles. Lessons run in the morning or afternoon, with the rest of the day spent exploring the city and its famous landmarks, from Hollywood Boulevard and the Griffith Observatory to Santa Monica, Venice Beach and the iconic sights of Beverly Hills.
Evenings bring students back to campus for sports, social activities, movie nights and time together, with a graduation ceremony celebrating the end of the course. Surrounded by mountains, the campus has state-of-the-art classrooms, landscaped gardens and outdoor areas, dining and recreational facilities, and venues for cultural activities. Opened in 1958 as the San Fernando Valley campus of Los Angeles State College, CSUN became an independent institution in 1972 and is today one of the largest campuses in the California State University system.

Los Angeles lives outside: ocean and Hollywood light on the West Coast. Lessons run in the morning or afternoon, and the rest of the day is spent along the coast and across the city at Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive, the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood studios, with longer trips towards San Diego or the desert. Evenings stay on campus with sports, movie nights and a graduation ceremony at the end of the course.
